Noah, Faith And One Olive Leaf
The story of Noah is a story of Noah’s faith in God. After the Flood, Noah and his family had to wait in the ark with only the assurance of God’s promise to Noah that He would save him and his family and every living thing in the ark with him.
That being said, Noah sent out a dove to see if God’s promise was being performed, but the dove came back because there was no dry land.
Seven days later, Noah sent the dove out again. This time it returned with a single olive leaf — one little indication that God was at work. See Genesis 6-8 (AMP)
To summarize, our trust in God is evidenced in many ways, but perhaps it is revealed most when God’s answer is not yet something we can see.
1NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].
Therefore, that is the time to hold on to that one olive leaf in faith, believing that God is faithful and will do what He said He will do.
4For the word of the Lord is right; and all His work is done in faithfulness.
9God is faithful (reliable, trustworthy, and therefore ever true to His promise, and He can be depended on); by Him you were called into companionship and participation with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
God Bless!
