Let Our Hearts And Lives Shout

feature photo

“The [empty-headed] fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable deeds; there is none that does good or right.” - Psalm 14:1 (AMP).

If you are a believer in God and the Lord Jesus Christ, like myself, we would never dream this verse could apply to us. After all, we are believers! We would never say that there is no God.

However, maybe we should think again. It is true that with our mouths we would never say something like that, but what about with our actions?

Do we say it by sinning just a little here and there and thinking it won’t matter?

Do we go to an immoral movie, have a gossip session about someone, let curse words fly here and there or put and allow inappropriate content or comments on our websites (business, personal, etc.) and/or social network (MySpace, Facebook, etc.) pages, blogs and bulletins… ignoring God’s command to the contrary?

If so, with our actions are we saying, “There is no God?”

Psalm 14:1 connects that kind of thing to corruption. Whether we realize it or not, the more we act that way, the more corrupt we are going to become.

Therefore, as believers, we should not make the foolish mistake of publicly proclaiming Jesus as our Lord, and then privately denying Him with one little action at a time. We need to use wisdom in everything we do, so that both our heart and life shout loudly… “My God Reigns!”

Just a little something to think about and act on as our walk with God continues to grow.

God Bless!
